Choir
Our chancel choir has approximately 20 to 30 singers, depending on the time of year, and our anthems vary from classical through contemporary in style.
We have a vibrant and talent-filled music program at United Church of Sun City
The mission of our program is to provide music that enhances the liturgy and enables our congregation to pray twice through the music. When our organist first came she told our minister of music that her job was to "take the congregation to the throne of God every week."

Minister of Music Alan Paulson brings over 40 years of successful music director experience in Christian Churches, public schools, performance choirs and community colleges to our Church. Alan earned his Masters in Choral Music Conducting at ASU and continues expanding his trade by taking courses to maintain his certifications.
Special Music
The church regularly hosts special music performances for the congregation. They range from concerts at the monthly ice cream socials, to the Palm Sunday and Christmas Cantatas, to a three-concert Chamber Music and continental breakfast concert series and more. We announce upcoming performances in the calendar and at the top of this page.

Happy springtime in Arizona!
Our Music Ministry says a big THANK YOU to all for your kind words and reactions to our Easter Cantata, “Canticle of the Cross” by Joseph M. Martin on March 24!
I also want to thank our talented, dedicated CHOIR, our amazing soloists and narrators; Brenda Goodenberger and Greg Yagi, our guest singers, and those gifted professional instrumentalists from the Phoenix Symphony! Also, what a gift we have in Robin Lemkuil, who helped with hundreds of details behind the scenes, from paychecks to “stage” set-up, from bulletins to the very professional PowerPoint, including lyrics on the screen...that I forgot to ask for until that morning!!
Thanks to our CHOIR and PRAISE TEAM for getting up before dawn on Easter Sunday, and enhancing our Sunrise Service for the glory of Jesus’ resurrection, and for hundreds of our Sun City residents to enjoy...rain or shine!
THE FIRST SUNDAY IN APRIL:
The Bible says to make a joyful noise, which includes laughing out loud at our Holy Humor Sunday service on April 7 at 10:00 am! It’s not easy to find humorous church music, but we have some that will certainly make you smile, tap your toes, and have you humming as you leave. Our special guest speaker is professional actress and motivational speaker, TEREY SUMMERS (...and a Sun City resident)! This would be a perfect opportunity to invite friends and neighbors!
